Plastic Free Butts campaign

Today Dame Caroline Dinenage MP DBE laid down an amendment to the Vapes and Tobacco bill that will prohibit the use of plastic in cigarette butt filters.

Did you know that a cigarette butt contains the equivalent of two plastic straws? It is the most littered plastic in the world. It is littered on our streets, in our towns and cities, in our rivers and the oceans of the world.

This amendment could see a positive global impact that forces the use of biodegradable filters over the current filters.
